Please read - Pickup, Shipping and other FAQ

As a small business, normally focused on large-scale event production, AvecMode LLC is now adding individually crafted product sales to support our company as we pivot during these uncertain times.  Making individual items during the pandemic requires supplies that we have to pay for.  We ask you to consider your purchase carefully before making it because we do not accept returns or refunds of any kind, for the products we make and sell or gift cards.  We are not maintaining extra inventory and are not able to accommodate exchanges at this time.    

The products offered by AvecMode are individually crafted, made to order, and may vary slightly from product to product, with some minor scratches.  For acrylic product purchases, please note that acrylic is not scratch-resistant.     

AvecMode offers multiple way for you to receive any products purchased from this website:  Pick-up, Shipping, and Local Delivery (in limited zip codes).  Please read the information about each of these options before you select which method you prefer.  

Pick-up:  Most orders will be ready within 2-4/5 days of purchase.  We'll send you an email when your order is ready for pickup and provide information about scheduling a pickup time window.  Our pickup location is 4201 South Congress Avenue, Suite 311.  

Please have a mask on when you come to pick up your order.   

Please inspect your order upon pick-up and if the item is defective, damaged, or not the right item, identify any of these issues before you leave with the item. We are not able to offer returns or refunds after you leave the pick-up location with the item.   

Local Delivery: Most orders will be ready for local delivery within 2-4/5 days of purchase.  We offer local delivery in a number of zip codes in the Austin area (78701, 78702, 78703, 78704, 78705, 78721, 78722, 78723, 78731, 78741, 78745, 78746, 78751, 78752, 78756, 78757, 78758).  If you are in the Austin area and your zip code is not listed, please contact us for local delivery rates - our courier will deliver outside the zip codes listed for an additional fee.   

Shipping:  Most orders will ship within 2-4/5 days of purchase.  We'll send you an email when your order ships.  

At this time, all orders will ship via UPS Ground.  Please note that the lap desks are larger than the standard shipping box sizes offered by shipping carriers.  UPS Ground is the most cost effective option we have found for shipping our lap desks in the custom sized boxes within the continental US.  If you are aware of a less expensive shipping option for your location, please contact us to discuss alternative shipping arrangements.  Also, please note that we include the cost of the box and the cost of the shipping, for the zone you live in, in our shipping rates.   

Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable and we are not able to offer returns, refunds, or exchanges.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you receive an item from us via a shipping carrier that is defective or damaged, or the wrong item, we need an email from you at within 7 days of receipt, with pictures, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.  

Bulk Orders: Please note that we've set our shipping prices based on the custom boxes we have readily available to ship products.  For lap desks, we have 3 sizes of boxes that can each hold 1-2 lap desks each, depending on the sizes of desks ordered.  If you are ordering more than 2 desks (with the exception of the nested set), the shipping will reflect multiple boxes used for shipping your order.  The nested set fits in 1 box.  If you are placing an order for 4+ lap desks and would like to discuss freight based shipping, please contact us.
